Open Competitions

1. Each competition shall be played in accordance with the strict rules of golf and such local rules as may be applied at the time.

2. Maximum playing handicaps are at the discretion of the organising committee.

3. All competitors must be bona fide members of recognised golf clubs.

4. Entries must be accompanied by full fee, cheques made payable to Walton Hall Golf Club.

5. The club reserves the right to refuse an entry without specifying the reason.

6. Tee times will be available from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. We will try to accommodate as closely as possible.

7. No ballot of entries, first come first served.

8. All competitions will be played as four balls and the organisers reserve the right to accommodate single or multiple entries accordingly.

9. No refunds except if event is cancelled.

Conditions of Entry

10. An accepted competitor can be substituted if unavailable to play.

11. Any disputes shall be resolved by the organising committee; their decision will be final.

12. In the event of tied scores Cheshire Union of Golf Club rules shall apply to determine winner.

13. Competitors must register at least 20 minutes before tee time and report to starter 5 minutes before.

14. Any handicap changes since date of entry must be declared at registration or face disqualification.

15. Current signed CONGU handicap certificate must be presented at registration. You can play without a certificate but not win a prize.

16. Prize winners, or a member of a winning team, must attend the prize presentation or forfeit the prize.

17. Presentation will be as soon as possible after the last card has been verified.

18. Dress in the clubhouse is smart casual.
