Hole 9 Par 5
White 489 SI 6
Yellow 466
Red 407 SI 4
The tee shot for the 9th needs to be straight if you want to avoid trouble. The ideal
line is over the tree on the left in the mid-distance. There are trees all the way
down the right hand side of the fairway and the ditch on the left. Over the ditch
is out of bounds.
From here you need to negotiate the water hazard which runs right through the centre of the fairway. The better player will be able to get their second shot over to the far side but watch out as the land slopes towards the stream and the ball can run in if you try and play it too tight. A mid iron to lay up on this side of the stream can be a sensible option for the high handicapper.
The green slopes from back to front with a bunker on the left and a steep bank on the right which can make a chip shot on to the green quite testing.
