Welcome from the Captain

On behalf of the Lady Captain and myself I would like to welcome you to the Walton Hall Golf Club web site. As you can see from the score card on the web site this is not a short course, but is a true test of golf set in some of the most beautiful parkland in Warrington. At first glance you will see the generous fairway of the 18th and its wide green but don’t be fooled; the course does allow you to open your shoulders on some fairways but the course also has many small traps which you cannot see, and our last three finishing holes are some of the hardest holes you will ever play, but having said that this really is a great course with wonderful views and you will not be disappointed.

The course has had a lot work done to it over the last few months, i.e. new greens have been laid, new drainage and some new bunkers put in, so come along and try us and if you find, and I am sure you will, that the course is for you than why not join us and play this great course every week as a member. We have competitions every Sunday, summer and winter, and you will find our members friendly and very welcoming with plenty of banter in the club house after your round. Also if you are just starting out on your golfing experience or you have been a golfer and want to get back into it, we can offer you an official CONGU handicap, so please check out our web site for all the details on joining and playing Walton Hall Golf Club.
